This degree offers a real-world approach to business studies that includes 2 semester internships and 25 hands-on workshops covering every aspect of hospitality. It will prepare you to be a business leader or entrepreneur in service industry sectors where a delightful customer experience is key to success. EHL also has online options for all academic courses on its bachelor’s degree, making it possible for students to study remotely, if required.

Career-focused electives and a Student Business (consultancy) Project allow you to practice in the real world as you build your network and expertise.

International Study Options

You can choose to study on EHL’s campuses in Switzerland (Lausanne and Passugg). Or you can gain a global perspective by taking a semester abroad or studying on the degree course in Singapore. A professional track is available that starts with the Swiss Professional Degree at EHL Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality in Passugg.

Focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship, this program includes a Research & Development workshop, Innovation Village resources, and an option to intern in your own startup. It develops valuable soft skills for the unknown future, such as agility, communication and team-work skills, and the art of persuasion, preparing you to be a leader in any business environment. Preparatory Year- Hospitality Training in Switzerland

The first semester is delivered on Campus Lausanne,in Switzerland. It is composed of 25 hands-on workshops that immerse you in the world of hospitality operations. Examples: Bakery & pastry making, Housekeeping, Rooms division operations, Michelin star experience, Fine dining cuisine, R&D design lab, Fine dining restaurant & lounge bar, etc.

 

Two Internships

The second semester of Preparatory Year is an Operations Internship, which allows you to practice the skills and knowledge gained on campus. It can be done in Switzerland* or abroad, must be done in a hospitality company, and should include positions such as Kitchen, Service, Housekeeping, Reception, etc. The second internship gives you greater responsibilities to apply the administrative and management concepts you have learned in class to real world hospitality projects, teams and departments. It can be completed in Switzerland or abroad, in any type of company, in roles such as Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Revenue Management, etc.
