Surval Summer Camp

About

Surval girls enjoy being immersed in the language and culture of Switzerland. At Surval Summer Camp, girls will learn French (beginners English can be requested).  Campers have their language lessons every day taught by qualified language teachers.

Learning is fun using films, songs and role play, as well as more formal methods. Language is put into practice in the School community and, for those learning French, through their visits in the local area where French is the main language.

Classes are small and are taught by Surval staff.  All core skills are covered in the language lessons, and girls are encouraged to use their chosen language when speaking with teachers during the School day.

Outside lessons, our main language are French and English, there are plenty of opportunities for girls to apply their French within their activities and with the staff. Confidence in using a language is key, and the local people of Montreux are always happy to help.

Our diverse activities whether they include sports, creative arts, or culture create a unique experience for our campers. They truly allow to feed passions and talents while having the most fun time. Surval is a small campus, benefitting from its own tennis court, dance studio, art room, cookery room and fitness room. We also make full use of the wonderful surrounding environment, making the most of the beautiful outdoors and offer a wide range of sports.

Throughout the day and in the late afternoon/evenings, we organise various activities onsite for our campers to make the most of their time with us. This year, we have optional Etiquette lessons in the evening for girls.

Our windows at Surval look out over the vast Lake – the perfect playground to Surval Summer Camp’s water sports programme. Sailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding (SUP) are all on offer as well as rafting and water canyoning high up in the Swiss mountains.  And no week at Surval Summer Camp is complete without Lake Day, when the entire Camp spends the day swimming, banana-boating and on SUP – making even more memories to take home.
