About
Every weekday morning campers leave Leysin village base to enjoy a challenging range of activities that includes: rock-climbing; hiking; mountain-biking; a high-ropes course; nature trails; white-water rafting (15+); learning essential survival skills.
The undoubted highlight of the two-weeks is the scenic trek high into the mountains to stay overnight at a traditional, authentic mountain hut at Lac Lioson high above the alpine village of Les Mosses. Here campers will enjoy cooking dinner and enjoying the meal ‘al fresco’ around the camp-fire before fun team so games and swopping stories amongst much laughter.
The aim of this camp is not only to have fun with these invigorating activities but to acquire vital skills needed to safely enjoy the outdoors. The educational workshops focus on the Alpine environment, orienteering and on outdoor survival skills like fire and shelter-building.
There is a careful balance between testing activities that demand hard work, skills and intensive application mixed in with fun team-building sessions and using the outstanding indoor facilities of the two well-equipped Leysin Sports centres.
Campers stay at the Village Camps owned and managed Swiss Alpine Centre. The centre has spacious, mainly en-suite bedrooms for 3-4 campers as well as lounges and recreational areas and impressive dining facilities. The campus is well situated just above the main village and close to its excellent sport and leisure facilities.
There are exciting excursions to Geneva, the lakeside town of Lausanne, a chocolate factory and the Water-Park in nearby Aigle.
